As a strategic and results-driven senior leader, the Director of Business Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the overall operational performance of several key areas of the insurance line of business. This leader collaborates with senior management and lead several varying functional, but process centric teams, to drive operational excellence, improve efficiency, and achieve business objectives.
What you will do:
Lead teams in documentation of current process flows across the many functional areas
Innovate and initiate standard methodology to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and drive business growth.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and provide objective empirical evidence of improvement.
Lead and manage teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective execution of operational strategies.
Analyze market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and operational optimization.
Oversee budget planning, staffing calculators, and resource allocation to ensure efficient utilization of resources and effective cost management.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting operational excellence, identifying training needs, and implementing development programs.
Evaluate and select external vendors and partners, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to support operational requirements when necessary.
Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on operational performance, achievements, and challenges.

What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing business operations, preferably in a similar industry.
Proven experience in process improvements and enhancements within and without direct areas of control
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a track record of driving operational excellence and process improvements.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, build strong relationships, and drive collaboration.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost management.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
