Outreach is hiring a Substitute Teacher at Outreach Warrenville, Lombard, Carol Stream, & West Chicago to support students in our after-school program academically and in life skills.

Part-time, temporary employment. Schedules vary slightly from site to site during the academic year. After-school program schedules have the earliest start time of 1:00pm and latest end time of 6:30pm.

Responsibilities:

• The Substitute Teacher will work with groups of students in academic instruction, community service, life skills instruction, and recreational activities.
• The Substitute Teacher facilitates behavior management, team building activities, and transporting students to and from the program.

Requirement

Qualifications:   

• BA in Education, Social Work, or a related field.    
• Classroom or group experience with adolescents.
• Experience with and sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish/ English) strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to Outreach's Statement of Mission & Faith.
