Outreach – Carol Stream
The Community Center in Carol Stream is a multi-purpose, neighborhood resource center serving a low-income, ethnically diverse neighborhood. Services include counseling, casework, mentoring, community development and after-school programs for children and youth.
|Job Responsibilities:||Teacher’s Aides are responsible for assisting lead teachers in supervising elementary school students in educational curriculum, Christian education, skill building, problem solving and recreational activities. Class size averages between ten and thirteen students. Aides currently needed for grades 1-5.|
|Requirements:||Previous classroom teaching or group experience with elementary school students required. Some early childhood education or elementary education coursework preferred. Candidates must have sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families. Certain requirements based on DCFS licensing standards, such as three written references, transcripts, TB tests and medical form needed. Commitment to Outreach Community Ministries’ Statement of Mission and Faith is required.|

Program Schedule| Monday - Friday hours from 8:00-4:30pm
|Compensation:||Hourly rate for these positions falls between $13-$14.50 based upon education, skills and experience.|
