Division: | Outreach – Carol Stream Outreach Carol Stream is a multi-purpose, neighborhood resource center serving a low-income, ethnically diverse neighborhood. Services include counseling, casework, mentoring, community development and after-school programs for children and youth. |
Job Responsibilities: | The Junior High Youth Worker will be a member of our staff providing summer school services to at-risk junior high students in the Carol Stream community. Responsibilities include working with groups of students in community service, life skills instruction and recreational activities, supporting community service learning, supporting lead staff in implementing student activities, and transporting students to and from the program. |

Requirement

Requirements: | A passion for working with youth. Previous group experience with adolescents; experience with and sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families; strong communication skills. A valid IL Driver’s License, good driving record and proof of insurance. Basic computer skills. A commitment to Outreach’s Statement of Mission and Faith is required. |

Compensation: | The hourly rate for this position falls between $15-17 based on education, skills and experience. |
