What you will be doing:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing daily professional support to the Human Resources Manager. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Full-cycle recruiting including writing job descriptions, posting on job boards, interviewing and creating job offers.
  • Actively implement recruiting strategies such as job fairs, employee referral program, intern programs, and social media. 
  • Work closely with light industrial staffing agencies for temporary employees and direct hires.
  • Utilize ADP’s applicant tracking, performance management, reporting, benefits and time & attendance systems.
  • Conduct new employee orientation and coordinate onboarding; verify I-9 documentation.
  • Maintain employee personnel records.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of payroll processing preparation tasks.
  • Reconcile vendor invoices. Liaisson with insurance brokers.
  • Assist with the administration of health and retirement benefit plans including enrollments and terminations.
  • Manage employee leave of absences and disability benefits.
  • Administer employee recognition program and assist with planning employee events.
  • Assist with the coordination of organizational training and development efforts.
  • Assist with workers compensation claims.
  • Update and maintain employee contact list.
  • Use electronic benefits bulletin board and other vehicles to communicate information.
  • Complete reports for management as requested.
  • Recommend new approaches and procedures to affect continual improvements.
  • Monitor employee morale and company culture.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What you will need

  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related business field.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of human resources principles, regulations and best practices. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and managing multiple timelines.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
